Despite positive customer feedback, usage of the refill stations remained low. What reasons have you identified?

Were there certain assumptions about customer behavior or feasibility that turned out to be unrealistic in hindsight?

In a press release, dm stated that the climate footprint of the refill stations was no better than that of existing dm products. What factors negatively impacted the balance?

What conclusions are you drawing from the end of the project for your future packaging strategy?

How do you assess the actual ecological benefits of zero-waste systems in retail today? Do you believe such concepts are generally viable – or only feasible in niche markets like organic or zero waste stores?

Does the end of the refill stations mean a definitive rejection of zero-waste concepts at dm, or do you still see potential under certain conditions? In Austria, the refill stations for detergents appear to be running successfully!?
